WindForce Limited was incorporated in July 2010 to encourage Sri Lanka and the rest of the world to want to see a greener future for the generations to come.
What started as a small team of only 5 individuals, including our managing director, has now transformed to become the largest independent power producer in the Renewable Energy generation sector in Sri Lanka and has even had the privilege of being able to expand operations globally because of our investments in the renewable energy space.
Ever since its inception, WindForce’s strategy has not strayed away from its mission. This is why we use a combination of short, medium and long-term planning cycles to enable WF to realize its strategic intent; while striking the right balance to safeguard stakeholder interests.
Our overall strategy is underpinned by four strategic pillars that have been established by studying the list of material topics relevant to the company. These four strategic pillars serve as our main nerve center, providing us with directional guidance regarding the allocation of resources.
Apart from producing renewable energy, WindForce PLC supports the transition towards sustainability in other forms as well; such as engaging in multiple social responsibility projects that benefit locals living in the vicinity of the company’s plants

Traditional methods of creating energy from non-renewable resources such as fossil fuels often result in a plethora of negative effects; both to the environment and to people themselves. With energy being the premise of all economies, opting for sustainable energy solutions is the best decision. Thus, to promote a cleaner, greener future, WindForce harvests energy from the sun, the wind and the air- making it renewable, natural, and sustainable.
No chemical pollutants released
Minimal impact to nature during harvesting
Doesn’t contribute to climate change
