HYDRO POWER

WindForce PLC has constructed and operated a number of mini hydropower plants across Sri Lanka, as well as 2 located in Uganda. These 10 plants have a total capacity of 26.3 MW, and generate an average of 110.4 GWh annually. What’s more, the plants collectively save an estimate of 78,300 MT of CO2 emissions.

ENERGY RECLAMATION 0.8 MW - SRI LANKA
WindForce PLC owns a 100% effective holding in Energy Reclamation (Pvt) Ltd, which was commissioned in April of 2019, and is located in Sitagala, Sri Lanka. The plant operates a total capacity of 0.8 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 3.5 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 2,500 MT, CO2 emissions of annually.
TERRAQUA INTERNATIONAL 1.3 MW - SRI LANKA
WindForce PLC owns a 100% effective holding in Terraqua International (Pvt) Ltd, which was commissioned in February of 2009, and is located in Halathura Ganga, Sri Lanka. The plant operates a total capacity of 1.3 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 4.9 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 3,500 MT,CO2 emissions of annually.
GURUGODA HYDRO 1.2 MW - SRI LANKA
WindForce PLC owns a 50% effective holding in Gurugoda Hydro (Pvt) Ltd, which was commissioned in March of 2010, and is located in Kegalla, Sri Lanka. The plant operates a total capacity of 1.2 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 3.3 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 2,300 MT, CO2 emissions of annually.
VIDUL MADUGETA 2.5 MW - SRI LANKA
WindForce PLC owns a 50% effective holding in Vidul Madugeta (Pvt) Ltd, which was commissioned in November of 2013, and is located in Neluwa, Sri Lanka. The plant operates a total capacity of 2.5 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 11.2 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 8,000 MT, CO2 emissions of annually.
TERRAQUA KOKAWITA 1.2 MW - SRI LANKA
WindForce PLC owns a 100% effective holding in Terraqua Kokawita (Pvt) Ltd, which was commissioned in June of 2012, and is located in Kalawana, Sri Lanka. The plant operates a total capacity of 1.2 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 4.4 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 3,000 MT, CO2 emissions of annually.
MELANKA 3.8 MW - SRI LANKA
WindForce PLC owns a 100% effective holding in Melanka Power Moaraketiya (Pvt) Ltd, which was commissioned in February of 2014, and is located in Haldummulla, Sri Lanka. The plant operates a total capacity of 3.8 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 12.3 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 8,700 MT, CO2 emissions of annually.
PEAK POWER DELTA 2 MW - SRI LANKA
WindForce PLC owns a 100% effective holding in Peak Power Delta (Pvt) Ltd, which was commissioned in May of 2016, and is located in Ginigathhena, Sri Lanka. The plant operates a total capacity of 2 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 7.5 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 5,300 MT,CO2 emissions of annually.
H.P.D. POWER 3.2 MW - SRI LANKA
WindForce PLC owns a 100% effective holding in H.P.D. Power (Pvt) Ltd, which was commissioned in December of 2016, and is located in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. The plant operates a total capacity of 3.2 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 16.7 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 12,000 MT, CO2 emissions of annually.
MAHOMA 2.7 MW - UGANDA
WindForce PLC owns a 36% effective holding in Mahoma Uganda Limited, which was commissioned in October of 2018, and is located in Mahoma, Uganda. The plant operates a total capacity of 2.7 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 9.9 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 7,000 MT, CO2 emissions of annually.
ZIBA 7.6 MW - UGANDA
WindForce PLC owns a 25.5% effective holding in Ziba Limited, which was commissioned in July of 2019, and is located in Kyambura, Uganda. The plant operates a total capacity of 7.6 MW and generates an estimated annual average of 36.7 GWh of energy. In addition, the plant also contributes in saving 26,000 MT, CO2 emissions of annually.
